Exercise isn’t just about losing weight or getting stronger-it’s one of the most effective ways to improve your mental wellbeing too.

When you exercise, your body releases feel-good chemicals called endorphins, which can help reduce stress, lift your mood and leave you feeling more positive. Regular physical activity has also been shown to help reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression while improving sleep, energy levels and overall confidence.

Just as importantly, taking time to exercise is taking time for you. Whether it’s enjoying a Les Mills class, lifting weights, going for a walk on the treadmill or simply chatting with other women at the gym, exercise provides an opportunity to switch off from life’s daily pressures and focus on yourself. We know here at True we have loads of women who put so much time into their whanau, friends and others and really benefit from a few minutes of time to focus on themselves.

At True Woman’s Fitness, we believe fitness is about so much more than physical results. It’s about feeling happier, stronger, more confident and healthier-both mentally and physically.

Sometimes, the hardest part is simply walking through the door. But you’ll almost never regret a workout once it’s done. 💙
