– Enhanced deep cleaning regime

– Water drinking station will be off

– Mandatory BYO towels.

– New Conditions of Entry to the gym

– COVID-19 area-specific signage

WHAT HYGIENE ETIQUETTE DOES EVERYONE HAVE TO FOLLOW?

We ask that every member takes responsibility for personal hygiene and also respects the space of others. That means washing / sanitising hands, covering coughs and sneezes, keeping 2m from the nearest person, bringing your own towel and using it, and bringing your own filled drink bottle / yoga mat / boxing gloves, and not sharing or touching anything that you don’t have to.

DO I NEED TO WEAR A MASK?

The wearing of a mask is your choice and not mandatory. Some staff may be wearing masks.

ARE YOU DOING ANY EXTRA CLEANING?

Yes, you will see more cleaning taking place during the day and at night we will continue doing our enhanced deep cleans throughout the club. We will also ask that you wipe down equipment before and after use to help us keep equipment clean.

HOW WILL YOU DO CONTACT TRACING?

You need to scan in AND out of the gym which allows us to track who is in and when. We are also keeping records of all staff, contractors and visitors.

WILL SANITISING STATIONS BE AVAILABLE?

Yes, you will see these throughout the club and at Reception. The Ministry of Health also recommends you wash your hands with soap and water often (for at least 20 seconds).

WHAT ABOUT PHYSICAL DISTANCING? IS IT 1M OR 1.5M OR 2M OR…?

At Level 2, we will be following the 2m distance rule at True. Thursday morning, we will mark out the group fitness studio as well as a 3m distance from the instructor. We have ensured our consultation rooms also have this space.

WHAT ABOUT YOUR STAFF?

Our staff have undergone training and will be abiding by all physical distancing, room limitation and other Level 2 restrictions. You will notice that some of our staff will be wearing masks. Please be kind to our team as we all adapt to this new way of working, and working out.

HOW WILL YOU LET PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THE RESTRICTIONS?

Even before you enter the club you will see COVID-19 signage. Physical distance spacing will be marked out in all studios and there will be floor stickers, floor strip markings, banners, TV screens and poster reminders throughout the club. As well as posting on social media, we will send all members emails outlining our restrictions and it is posted on our website.

I’VE RECOVERED FROM COVID-19 – CAN I CAME BACK TO THE GYM?

If you have been off sick we will require medical clearance for you. You can then return to the gym as long as you follow all COVID-19 processes and protocols including personal hygiene expectations.

COMING BACK TO THE GYM

WHAT WILL BE DIFFERENT?

Things will be slightly different to how they were the last time we were at Level 2, as we need to ensure distancing and studio limits. Please be patient and be kind to fellow members and our team.

DO I NEED TO DO ANYTHING BEFORE I COME BACK?

Yes.  Before you come back  to the club you need to  read these new  Conditions of Entry and COVID-19 Health Questions below. After that, by accessing the club each time you will be accepting the Conditions of Entry.

What are the Conditions of Entry and COVID-19 Health Questions I need to answer to come back to the gym?

Conditions of Entry Are

– Stay home if unwell

– Wash or sanitise hands before entering the club and when moving through different areas

– Scan your membership tag every time you enter club AND when you leave the club. We also have a QR poster up at reception , please scan.

– Bring and use a sweat towel every time you work out, if you don’t have one, we have them for sale at reception.

– Wipe down equipment before and after use

– Keep your distance from others in the club.

COVID-19 HEALTH QUESTIONS:

– You do not have any symptoms associated with COVID-19 (e.g. fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, sneezing/runny nose or loss of sense of smell)

– You do not have COVID-19 nor are you awaiting the results from being tested for COVID-19

– You have not been in contact with any known or suspected cases of COVID-19 in the past 14 days

– You have not returned, or been in contact with anyone else who has returned, from overseas in the past 14 days

When you swipe your entry tag when coming into the club, fill in a guest form or attend a group fitness class you’ll be confirming your agreement to these Conditions of Entry and COVID-19 Health Questions. You’ll also be confirming that you will abide by all Health & Safety procedures and protocols.

WHAT WILL I NEED TO BRING TO THE GYM?

Please bring a filled water bottle and your towel.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT THE FIRST TIME BACK?

Firstly, you are possibly going to have to queue to enter the club. Not too long hopefully, and we’ll keep things moving as quickly and as safely as possible, but we will need to maintain physical distancing and entrance  protocols.

ARE THE GYM HOURS THE SAME?

Yes our gym hours have stayed the same.

WHAT ABOUT CHANGING ROOMS?

Here’s the thing – Changing Rooms will be open, but the less you can use them at Level 2 the better. If you can come dressed in your gear all ready to workout it’ll mean that: you’ll get in and out of the club quicker, have less interaction with others, and won’t have to worry about limits in the changing rooms due to physical distancing. Showers at home after your workouts get the big tick! Vanity benches will have limited people at them due to physical distancing, but washing hands is OK as long as you’re 1m apart from the next person. Please note that the drinking fountains will not be available to use. Please respect the space of your fellow gym-goers and be kind.

DO I STILL NEED TO BRING A TOWEL?

Yes. No towel = no workout. This will be strictly policed and you will be asked to leave if you have not brought your towel with you.

WHY AREN’T THE WATER COOLER AND FANS AVAILABLE?

With COVID-19 known to sit on surfaces and transfer through the air we are being extra cautious and taking precautionary steps to minimise its potential spread.

Classes And Gym Floor

WILL THERE BE GROUP FITNESS CLASS LIMITS?

Yes. At Level 2, there will be both physical distancing limits and ‘gathering’ limits. This may mean that you aren’t able to get into a class that you would have been able to pre-COVID-19. Due to the Level 2 restrictions it will pay to book any bookable classes (Such as RPM) as early as you can, and to come early to non-bookable classes to secure your spot. The bright side is that it’s also the ideal time to try something new that you haven’t given a go before.

We have purposely kept all of our pre Covid-19 classes available to ensure there are plenty of options and to try and spread out the numbers.

WILL THERE BE GYM FLOOR LIMITS?

Yes, but only due to physical distancing limits of 2m. The Gym Floor is not considered a ‘gathering’ so the same number restrictions do not apply as they do to a Group Fitness class for instance. Also, if you are using a Personal Trainer and they are wearing a mask they can be within 1m of you. If not, the general physical distancing of 2m applies to you both.

WILL I NEED TO BOOK EVERY CLASS I GO TO?

No, you will not need to book every class – only RPM at this stage, however please note that if class numbers are consistently at capacity we may start booking for all classes. The best way to ensure you get a spot in your favourite non-bookable class is to come early as it’s a first come, first serve basis.

WILL I BE ABLE TO GET INTO THE CLASSES I WANT?

With the Government restrictions in place for Level 2 you may not be able to get into every class you want to. It’ll be best to arrive early to secure a spot. It’s also the ideal time to try something new if you’re unable to do your usual workout.

WILL TIMETABLES BE THE SAME?

We are starting off with the same number of classes, however there are some adjustments to times to allow for cleaning between classes and to avoid bottlenecks at the group fitness studio.

WILL I BE ABLE TO USE ALL THE EQUIPMENT I HAVE IN THE PAST?

Perhaps not. We will have to remove / tape off some of the equipment in order to follow the Government’s physical distancing rules. What we will endeavour to do through is make equipment available to work all body parts. We will also have trainers setting up circuits for members to take part in.

WILL YOU BE PROVIDING BOXING GLOVES?

No. To minimise sharing of equipment we will not be providing boxing gloves. Please bring your own.

HOW MUCH SPACE DO I NEED BETWEEN ME AND MY PERSONAL TRAINER?

If your Personal Trainer is wearing a mask they can be within 1m of you. If not, the general physical distancing of 2m applies to you both.
